The organic cotton bags are certified under the Global Organic Textile  Standard (GOTS), which means no chemical pesticides or fertilisers are used in the production of the of the fabric and farmers must work under safe conditions with an agreed minimum wage.

Turtle bags were born more than 20 years ago out of a wish to replace some of the plastic that was finding its way into our oceans,  absorbing chemical pollutants which were being carried into fish and then into us, and to try and create less waste to reduce our impact on the natural world by making a small change.
