We are in the midst of Plastic Free July® – a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. You can be part of Plastic Free July by choosing to refuse single-use plastics!

Did you know that some tea bags contain plastic? By choosing loose leaf tea you are ensuring there’s no plastic in your cuppa! We currently have both Clipper and Traidcraft Breakfast Blend (hooray!) in stock.
Turtle Bags are the ultimate zero plastic shopping bag – these brightly coloured, Fairtrade cotton string bags, pack down to fit into your handbag but expand to hold all your groceries!
Free your shower from it’s bottles and make the switch to bar shampoo instead – the shampoo and conditioner bars from No Way!ste are exactly that, waste free!

RECIPE OF THE MONTH
Our recipe of the month for July is this delicious Fair Trade chocolate and raspberry pavlova! The meringue is flavoured with cocoa powder and studded with Fairtrade dark chocolate pieces, topped with fresh cream and raspberries! Heaven, and perfect for summer entertaining. The recipe is also suitable for those following a gluten free diet.
STAFF CHANGES
Lovely Saskia has now left us to prepare for moving away for her Masters degree (and most probably a lot more running!). We are delighted to welcome Nadiia and Tia to the Good Taste Team.
You’ll be seeing a lot of our new girls as they kindly cover everyone’s time off over the summer holidays!
FUNDRAISING NEWS
Sue and Jess took on leg 8 of the LE JOG challenge and smashed it! Well done to both of them. You can sponsor them (and everyone else taking part) in TASTE’s biggest ever fundraiser – Lands End to John O’Groats Sponsored Hike 2023! The hike is taking place from June and September 2023 – so there’s still plenty of time to show your support.
